The festival
A dance of listening — on land and in the sea
Contact Improvisation is a dance of touch, weight and play, born in 1972 and now practised all over the world. On Koh Chang we take it into the sea: in warm, shallow water the body slows down, the breath settles, and movement becomes almost effortless — a meditative and deeply personal dance.
Why water
Only very warm water suits this dance — when we relax, the body stops producing its usual heat. Koh Chang gives us the warmest sea, gentle sandy shores and an empty beach that keeps the whole festival intimate and personal.
